Photography Project - Vegetables

Image
It wouldn't be a photography blog without the cliched 'Still Life' with some vegetables in the scene. Vegetables - Still Life Taken with the Pentax K200d with the 'new to me'  Pentax SMCP-M 50mm f2 lens I purchased from an amazon seller . Nice lens but MF means being more skilled at reading the viewfinder. No p ost processing.

267/365 Photo Project - Prize Winners

Image
Prize Winners It wouldn't be a weekend spent at the Common Grounds fair without some prize winning vegetables. I think the largest crowds I've seen in the past few years were here this weekend.  Taken with the  Canon PowerShot SX230HS  in landscape mode to maximise the area in focus, tone adjusted in post processing.

258/365 Photo Project - Potato Buds

Image
Potato Buds I fall back on my old motto of 'if in doubt of what to take a photo of break out the macro lens' today. This potato past it's prime sitting in a our vegetable bowl in the kitchen is the subject for today. Taken with the Pentax K200d, handheld with MF attached to my Sigma 70mm F/2.8 EX DG Macro Lens , tone corrected in post processing.

144/365 Photo Project - Grocery Aisle

Image
Grocery Aisle Taken at my local grocery store during peak hours it was especially difficult to not capture any hungry shoppers. Taken with the Canon PowerShot SX230HS without on-camera flash.

108/365 Photo Project - Shopping Aisle

Image
Shopping Aisle So many fresh fruits and vegetables, but why is it that I was only craving red meat and chocolate cake? Taken with the LG Rumor touch camera phone and joined from 5 separate frames in to one long panoramic in post processing. Pre-uploaded resolution 3962x1591 pixels.

92/365 Photo Project - Cluster of Carrots

Image
Cluster of Carrots These carrots looked so good on the shelves of my local whole foods store. I couldn't help myself though and had to get some cookies to eat after them. Small steps towards that healthier lifestyle are better than none, right? Taken with the Canon PowerShot SX230HS , tone adjusted slightly in post processing .
