Summer is in the air along the Mystic River as is evidenced by these Geese whom seem to think I have some food for them as I take this picture. Not today, sorry. Animals - Geese on the Mystic River  Taken with the  LG Optimus Elite ,  handheld,  color enhanced in p ost processing.

Mystic River The sun was shining, the air felt like spring and the fall colors were in full bloom today. I'm told by local area weather experts that this won't last, so make the most of it! Taken with the  Canon PowerShot SX230HS  in landscape mode, flash did not fire.  No post processing.

Ivy On The Mystic River This Ivy on the Mystic River caught my eye this afternoon during a very short photo walk, it was just too darn cold to be out there too long today! Taken with the Pentax K200d, handheld with MF using my  Sigma 70mm F/2.8 EX DG Macro Lens , contrast adjusted post processing to increase the area in shadow. 

Mystic River Valley Panorama If you have been paying really close attention to the images I post on here you may note that this scene is very similar to one i posted back in June . However I wanted to capture an example of a scene more suited to a photo stitch than the one I attempted in Boston earlier this week. Still without the use of a tripod here but at least there was no fast moving traffic in the frame and the ripples on the water weren't moving fast enough to be too much of a problem either. I may have to take my kayak out on the Mystic River this weekend if the summer humidity gives me a break! Taken with the LG Optimus Elite , 3 shots combined in post processing to form this panoramic, edges of the frame cleaned up and then the entire frame was tone adjusted for the harsh summer sun which had blown some of the highlights.

Mystic River Valley Panorama What a great start to the weekend today turned out to be, and a walk along the Mystic River Valley Parkway at lunch was the inspiration for today's panoramic shot. A total of 12 frames were taken, during the extremely bright midday sun, with the LG Optimus Elite from left to right while panning along the river front. Combined in post processing and cropped to a resolution of 6478x2335 before being uploaded to Blogger.

Mystic Sunset The sun was shining high in the sky this evening to make up for all the rain these past few days I think. Taken in to the sun with the Pentax K200d mounted to a Pentax DA 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 AL lens with no on curves adjusted slightly in post processing to enhance areas in shadow.
