296/365 Photo Project - Holy Hedera

Image
Holy Hedera The sun catching the changing color of the leaves of this ivy I thought looked interested against the wall of this neighborhood church. Note: Hedera is the latin name for Ivy, and yes I had to look that up. Taken with the  Canon PowerShot SX230HS  in landscape mode, flash did not fire. Cropped for aspect in p ost processing to avoid overhead cables showing, their shadow can still be seen in the shot.

268/365 Photo Project - Stairway To Heaven

Image
Stairway To Heaven The features of the facade of this local area church caught my eye today and their resemblance to a stairway to the blue skies above. Unfortunately it was such a fine day there wasn't a fluffy cloud in sight to add some interest to the background. Taken with the  LG Optimus Elite , no post processing.

246/365 Photo Project - Davis Sq. Church

Image
Davis Sq. Church While trying to extend that 'vacation feel' this evening we walk a walk around Somerville and through Davis Square where the evening sun was shining on this local area church caught my eye. Taken with the LG Optimus Elite , color boosted slighted and a 'Stop' sign removed from the right side of the frame in post processing.

238/365 Photo Project - Notre Dame At Night

Image
Notre Dame At Night One of the great things of staying in a hotel in Old Montreal is the close proximity of lots of great sites to see, not to mention cafes and restaurants to eat at. I captured this shot while we walk back to our hotel after a night of Streak Frites. Remember, 'Apportez votre vin!' Taken with the Canon PowerShot SX230HS color enhanced in post processing.
