Photography Project - Transport

Image
One of the major advantages of Daylight Savings is of course the extra hours of sunlight in the evening. I decided to take advantage of that, grabbed my camera and head out on a  local bus to anywhere and see what  opportunities  present themselves. Transport - MBTA Bus This was shot on a local area bus heading in to Boston on the evening of March 26th. I had to wait a couple of stops for the bus to empty before taking this shot of the empty seats in front of me. Taken with t he  Pentax SMCP-M 50mm f2  mounted to my Pentax k200d DLSR.

290/365 Photo Project - Dental Molding

Image
Dental Molding Having been sick and extremely busy at work I feel I like I am phoning it in with today's photograph of some the crown molding work around our living room.  This was one of the features however that sold us on our house which we thought has great character. Storm Cloud Fail As the weekend rolled in so did the storm clouds with the lightning and thunder roaring above. Taken with the Canon PowerShot SX230HS in landscape mode no camera flash, no post processing other than cropping for aspect.

219/365 Photo Project - Route To The Top

Image
Route To The Top It can sometimes feel like a long uphill struggle, many flights of stairs to climb to get to the top but we will persevere! I like the irregular framing of this shot although it is very similar to another I posted earlier this year. Note to self I must try to be more creative. Taken with the LG Optimus Elite , no post processing.

105/365 Photo Project - Memorial Hall

Image
Memorial Hall Another fine spring day here in Cambridge MA led to the wife and I going for walk through the various streets of our local neighborhood. Quite the walk but such a great day for it, although it was a little hot in that mid-afternoon sun. I can only imagine what the Boston Marathon runners are going to go through on Monday. Taken with the LG Rumor touch camera phone, sharpened in post processing.

31/365 Photo Project - Up or Down?

Image
Up or Down? Is this staircase winding down or crawling up? I like the repeating pattern here, just wish their were more than 6 stories in this Boston office building for the pattern to continue off in to the distance. Taken with the Canon PowerShot SX230 HS in Portrait mode in an attempt to keep the stairs in the distance out of focus. No post processing.
