Photography Project - Waves

Image
This posting should be entitled 'fun on the water' but it fits the category waves even though there weren't too many out there in Plymouth Bay the day we were there. Seadoo's and lots of open water protected by harbor islands and inlets makes for a lot of fun. If only I had the nerve to take my phone/camera out on the water the photo opportunities would have been endless, instead today's post is taken from dry land.  Waves - Fun on the water in Plymouth Bay Taken with the  LG Optimus Elite ,  handheld,  color enhanced in p ost processing.

269/365 Photo Project - The Old And The New

Image
The Old And The New While out and about for lunch around the Boston harbor today the juxtaposition of the old Tea Party ship and the new office construction in the background caught my eye in this scene. It was interesting to sit there and watch the tourists throwing pretend boxes of tea overboard. I have to say being a British ex-pat I feel like I've let the side down having always preferred coffee ;) Taken with the  LG Optimus Elite , no post processing.

183/365 Photo Project - Tall Ships In Boston Harbor

Image
Tall Ships In Boston Harbor I couldn't let the heat beat me this weekend to getting the rare oppurtunity of capturing the magnificence of these Tall Ships in Boston Harbor. The temperature gauge may have read mid 90s but that didn't put a stop to the thousands out this weekend thinking the same thing I was. In taking this frame I tried to capture the one tall ship being flanked by the other while avoiding the heads of the crowds of other amateur photographers and onlookers. Taken with the Canon PowerShot SX230HS cropped slightly (to get rid of some unwanted human heads), no other post processing.
