Photography Project - Art

Image
I'm not sure I would want this hanging on the wall in my living room but this large framed art work from the Central Americas certainly caught my attention today at the Natural History Museum in Harvard Sq. Art - Central American Painting Taken with the  LG Optimus Elite ,  handheld,  no p ost processing.

Photography Project - Shadows

Image
Trees on a Cambridge street cast long shadows in the late day sun of spring. Shadows - A tree lined Cambridge street Taken  with t he  Pentax SMCP-M 50mm f2  mounted to my Pentax k200d DLSR. A second contender for shadows is this shot taken with my Canon P&S of the trees of the Mystic River casting shadows on the snow during the Winter months, but I preferred the above shot myself.

310/365 Photo Project - A Brand New Day

Image
A Brand New Day The sun was barely shining as it hung low in the late afternoon sky on this election eve . Taken from the window of a redline MBTA train heading in to Cambridge. Taken with the  LG Optimus Elite  no post processing.

276/365 Photo Project - Water

Image
Water What with the rain coming down from above, humidity in the air, the water of the harbor splashing below and the fountain shooting up water in to the air the title 'water' seems apt for today's photo taken outside the Cambridge Galleria Mall. Taken with the  LG Optimus Elite , no post processing.

103/365 Photo Project - April Showers

Image
April Showers Some much needed Spring showers returned to the Boston area today. Taken through the window of our apartment in macro mode. Taken with the Canon PowerShot SX230HS , no post processing .

69/365 Photo Project - Harvard Campus Buildings

Image
Harvard Campus Buildings I thought I would end the week with another panoramic, this time taken with my Canon PowerShot instead of my phone or iPod though so I was more hopeful about getting better resolution source images for combining in to one large ultra wide angel zoom of Harvard. With the sun shining overhead this afternoon it may have looked like spring but there was still quite a chill in the air. Taken with the Canon PowerShot SX230HS then combined, cropped and rotated counter-clockwise 2 degrees in post processing. I also tried to fill in the gaps left by the combination software in the sky and buildings can you tell where? Probably.
