301/365 Photo Project - Nathan Tufts Park

Nathan Tufts Park

The leaves weren't being swept around much by any breeze in Nathan Tufts Park, Somerville this afternoon. This serene scene is perhaps the calm before the literal storm as Sandy heads quickly towards the north east. Sunday promises to get a lot more windy unfortunately. I like that the mid afternoon sun was overhead casting a harsh shadow with the trees.

Taken with the Canon PowerShot SX230HS in landscape mode to try to give some selective focusing and depth to the frame, flash did not fire. No post processing.
