Shot of a single swan in the river near my home, I did love his reflection captured here, although I was a little weary about how close to me he was getting. If a swan wags it's tail is that a good sign like a dog or bad like a cat? :) Taken with my Pentax DA f1.8 50mm prime lens mounted on my K50.

Rail track lines, in Medford MA, going off in to the cold distance. I liked the shadows from the trees cast by the low winter sun in this shot.

A Chocolate tour of Boston provided plenty of opportunities for tasting delicious unhealthy treats like these football themed cupcakes.

My attempt at long exposure night photography to capture the light trails of passing cars near South Station in Boston. This was attempted by resting my camera on a nearby electrical box which wasn't exactly level, so the horizon isn't exactly straight but I think the street lamps having a sort of '60's Batman perspective' adds to the shot right? :)

My first Arisia convention provided lots of opportunity to take photos of the amazing bold colors of the handmade costumes at the show. What a great get together of like minded individuals, this may have been my first time visiting but it won't be my last.

I have a tradition of a cold winter photography walk at the start of the New Year to downtown Boston to capture the ice sculptures left behind from First Night. It seems I left it a little too late this year because most of the sculptures had either melted or been destroyed, very sad. I was however able to capture this one before it completely disappeared. With the time ticking on the Meadow Glen Mall in Medford I thought it was apt to take a photo of the clock inside the mall ticking down 4 minutes to midnight. Confession this was taken 11.56am Sunday 31st of January, not at midnight ;) Meadow Glen Mall Closing The last weekend of the mall, a beloved (but not that much apparently if it's now closing!) mall in Medford, MA.
