127/365 Photo Project - Supermoon

Supermoon

My attempt at capturing the supermoon proved very tricky, having tried and failed using my Pentax DSLR and my favorite Sigma zoom lens I reverted back to my trust old Canon PowerShot SX230HS point and shoot. A full moon in an overcast sky is just too bright to be able to get any good detail in focus, and without any buildings for perspective it's hard to tell what's so super about this moon.

Taken with the Canon PowerShot SX230HS in Shutter Priority mode at 1/2000, cropped in post processing.
